SMS Individual Messages

Your PodOps Connect account allows you to not only bulk message your audience but also have one-on-one conversations that are conveniently housed in your SMS Inbox. IMPORTANT: To send SMS messages, you’ll first need to add a phone number to your account. Click here to learn how to complete this action.

From the Connect dashboard, click SMS Inbox on the left:

Once in your SMS Inbox, you can begin a new conversation by clicking ‘New’ in the upper right corner. This will open a pop-up and allow you to add a mobile number:

Note: When entering a mobile number, you need to begin with the country code. For example, a US number would begin with ‘1’. We have a handy link on the screen to look up country codes if you are unsure what to enter.  

When entering a number, you will be required to confirm you have explicit consent to contact this individual. Ensure you have permission before entering a number.

If the number you enter is a valid mobile number, you will see a green verification message on the screen. Click ‘Add’ to add this number to your SMS Inbox and begin a conversation.

 

Your conversations will appear as a thread of messages, just as they would on your mobile device. For contacts that are already in your Subscriber List, their contact name will appear on the left. New contacts added that are not in your Subscriber List will appear as an Unknown Subscriber.

We help you track your character limit and credit count in the lower right corner of the screen. Each message sent will count against your available SMS Message credits.
