Go for a Cover that Pops
Pick the Perfect Host
Don't Ignore Meta Data
Meta data is a fancy way of referring to the information behind the scenes that tells search engines and podcast directories what your show and episodes are about and how to categorize them.
When you set up your podcast hosting account be sure to define the language, keywords, description, and category for your podcast. All of these contribute to how you will appear in podcast directory search results.
Set a Schedule. Press Record!
Define a schedule of when you will record on a daily or weekly basis, along with how much time you are giving yourself to edit. Think ‘Rule of 4’ here. It usually takes four times the length of an episode to complete the editing.
With this in place, determine how often you will release episodes, and how many you want in your first season. Once you have those items in place, you can sit down to start recording. Happy podcasting!
