Top 5 Reasons You Should Be Listening to Podcasts

Podcasts are a great way to spend your time, 65% of podcast listeners have been listening for less than 3 years, making this the next up-and-coming way to receive information. I have 5 reasons you should join the movement and listen to podcasts starting today.

Unlike visual media, you can listen to a podcast while doing other things. One of my favorite ways to listen is when I walk my dog because I am also getting in some exercise. You can do household chores like dishes, laundry, even vacuuming! It makes it easier to learn a new skill or escape into a storytelling podcast whatever mood you are in you can find a podcast for that.

Many side hustles came to be as a result of the pandemic. 2020 was a great year to do some self-improvement depending on what your situation was working from home gave us a great opportunity to find more time in the day. Podcasts offer you a great opportunity to learn something new making it easy to implement in your main 9-5 or to apply to your newfound side hustle.

Get a Break From Screens

Sometimes it’s nice to have a break from a computer or TV screen, I know we were all glued to them for most of 2020, well, because there wasn’t much else to do. Podcasts give you a way to consume media without having to look at a screen.

Using your imagination is something we do a lot as kids but not so much as adults. This is something you are able to do when you read books, but reading a book takes all your attention with a podcast you can listen to a story and imagine what the people and places look like which is a nice change from having everything presented to you.

Podcasts are free to listen to. It’s a great opportunity to learn from experts at no cost to you. Jim Rohn says, “you are the average of the five people spend the most time with,” this gives you an opportunity to “hang out” with some pretty incredible people without having to even know them. I hope this has given you some reason to start listening to podcasts, just give them a try. Looking for something? Check out our entrepreneur podcast.
