Live streaming lets you interact with your audience in real time with a video feed, chat, and more.
Enable live streaming #
To live stream, you need to have no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days and you need to verify your channel. Verification takes 24 hours.
On a computer:
- Go to YouTube.
- From the top right, click Create
Go live.
- If you haven’t already, follow the steps to verify your channel.
- Starting your first live stream may take up to 24 hours. Once enabled, you can live stream instantly.
On a Android:
To create a mobile live stream, you need to meet the requirements.
- On your phone or tablet, open the YouTube app.
- From the bottom, click Create

On an iPhone/iPad:
To create a mobile live stream, you need to meet the requirements.
- On your phone or tablet, open the YouTube app.
- At the bottom, click Create

Get your YouTube Stream Key #
Finding a YouTube stream key is useful if you want to live stream to YouTube from PodOps Studio. Here’s how to find the stream key for your YouTube channel:
- Access the YouTube studio by going to studio.youtube.com. Make sure you’re signed into the channel you want to broadcast to.
- On your Channel Dashboard, click on the “Go live” button in the top right corner.
- Click the Go Live icon on the left.
- You’ll see a screen with settings for your stream. Under Stream Settings, you’ll see your stream key, which you can reset or copy.
- Copy your stream key and paste it into PodOps Studio and click on Start live stream to begin streaming.
